Description
The City of Lincoln, Nebraska, is soliciting bids for the supply, hauling, and delivery of an estimated 39,500 tons of gravel surface course material to ten designated Lancaster County stockpiles. The work includes material production, transportation, delivery, and stacking within designated stockpile boundaries, with quantities adjustable by plus or minus 20 percent. Vendors must provide their own equipment, including a track loader, and may not use belly-dump trucks. Certain deliveries must use state highways only. The material must meet specified Nebraska Department of Transportation aggregate gradation and quality requirements, including moisture-control limits. Vendors must provide weigh tickets for each load and daily gradation test results, comply with delivery schedules, and complete all deliveries no later than January 30, 2027. The electronic bid requires per-ton pricing for each delivery location, required acknowledgments, and specified certifications and affidavits. Insurance coverage, including commercial general liability, automobile liability, and workers' compensation, must be provided before work begins.
