Description
Lancaster County seeks bids for chip-seal work at eight road locations. The work includes preparing road surfaces, applying emulsified asphalt and expanded-shale aggregate, rolling and maintaining the chip seal, and applying permanent pavement markings. Bidders must price the itemized spreadsheets for all eight project parts; the County may select a combination of parts or groups and may remove sites after evaluating bids. The contractor must provide traffic control, including barricades, construction signs, flaggers, and a pilot vehicle where specified, and submit a proposed work sequence with the bid. Work is scheduled to begin on or after June 1, 2027, and finish by August 31, 2027. A 5% bid bond or certified check is required by bid opening; the original must be received within three days after closing. Performance and payment bonds, insurance documentation, and the Employee Classification Act affidavit are required from the successful bidder at contract execution or before work, as applicable.
