Description
The City of Toledo is soliciting a lump-sum construction bid for an open-air picnic shelter at Savage Park. The City will provide the pre-purchased shelter structure; the contractor must perform site preparation, permitting, concrete walk and slab installation, shelter installation and erection, stormwater pollution prevention measures, and final site restoration. The plans identify an EnWood Structures “Raleigh” shelter package with glulam components, decking, roofing, hardware, and related installation requirements. The project is subject to prevailing-wage requirements, applicable living-wage and labor-compliance requirements, insurance requirements, and a required bid guaranty. The bid requires electronic submission of line-item pricing and specified City paperwork, including project forms, a signed contract, tax-exemption certificate, insurance and workers’ compensation certificates, and a bid bond or qualifying cashier’s/certified check. Performance and payment bonds are required at 100% when applicable under the solicitation and contract provisions; a performance bond is identified as an award-stage submission. A Project Labor Agreement may apply to contracts of $100,000 or more.
