Description
The City of Toledo is seeking local title companies to perform title searches on Toledo properties affected by nuisance conditions. Searches must identify individuals and entities with an interest in each property, including lienholders, and provide the best available mailing information for serving notice. The City is not seeking an examination of title defects that would prevent transfer and is not acquiring the properties. The opportunity is a three-year contract, renewable month to month thereafter, with lump-sum pricing. Bidders must submit the required project, city, annual, and response paperwork, along with line-item pricing, a bid guaranty, a signed contract, an Ohio business entity license for title insurance, and proof of the firm's rating from at least one independent rating agency. Payment and performance bonds and a project labor agreement, if applicable, are identified as post-award requirements.
