Description
The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation is soliciting bids for a master agreement covering crane rental and operator services at participating correctional facilities statewide. The scope includes cranes ranging from 14.5 to 120 tons, operators, booms, rigging and chokers, mobilization and demobilization, transportation, permits, supplies, and related labor and equipment. Bidders may submit rates for one or more locations or groups, and the State does not guarantee that any services will be ordered. Services must generally be provided within 48 hours of a request and during regular business hours, with possible weekend work by agreement. Operators must hold current accredited crane-operator certifications, equipment must be inspected and certified as required, and personnel entering facilities are subject to security clearance, gate-clearance, background, and conduct requirements. Subcontracting is permitted with prior approval. The agreement term ends September 30, 2029, and rates must include prevailing-wage compliance and all associated expenses.
