Description
East Goshen Township is soliciting sealed bids for as-needed rental of two self-propelled milling machines without operators for Township personnel to operate. The milling machines must include specified milling drums or heads, front-loading covered conveyors capable of loading a 12-foot-tailgate dump truck, and water systems for dust control. The bid form estimates ten eight-hour rental days, with pricing submitted as a daily rental rate and total cost. The broader bid package also lists rental of an all-terrain crawler carrier, track loader, hydraulic excavator, dozer, rubber-tire loader, asphalt roller, skid steer with attachments, long-stick excavator, articulated off-road trucks, water truck, crusher, and tri-axle dump truck, as well as specified chemicals, fuel, signs, and posts. The tri-axle dump truck is estimated at 180 hours and must haul 22 tons of asphalt, milling, and stone; its operator must hold a valid commercial driver's license. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond equal to 50% of the total contract amount. The contract term is one year from execution of the agreement.
