Description
The City of Roanoke is soliciting on-call heavy snow removal equipment services on an as-needed basis, with no guaranteed minimum quantity of work. The contractor must provide equipment with trained operators, maintain the equipment, respond to calls within 24 hours, and support snow removal, transportation, loading, unloading, debris removal, and related site-protection activities. Required equipment includes motorgraders with at least 140 horsepower and 12-foot articulating blades, articulated wheel loaders with at least 130 horsepower and 2-yard buckets, and dozer/crawler tractors with at least 70 horsepower and 9-foot articulating blades. The initial contract term is one year from December 1, 2026, through November 30, 2027, with up to four additional one-year renewals. Bidders must submit hourly rates, applicable licensing information, and required bidder certifications. Successful bidders must maintain specified workers' compensation, general liability, automobile liability, umbrella, and related insurance coverage.
