Description
Sacramento County Water Agency is soliciting sealed bids for repair of Filter #7 at the Vineyard Surface Water Treatment Plant. The work includes mobilization, temporary removal and storage of approximately 2,048 cubic feet of anthracite media, removal and disposal of spent sand, inspection and repair of the joint between the filter walls and floor, procurement and installation of approximately 1,024 cubic feet of approved silica sand, testing and waste-extraction analysis of spent media, and reinstallation of the anthracite media. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, and incidental work; comply with applicable regulations and site-specific safety requirements; maintain confined-space certifications before entering the filter basin; and hold a valid California Class A contractor license. The estimated construction cost is $100,000, the contract completion period is 40 working days, and a 10% bid security is required. Payment and performance bonds, each for 100% of the contract price, are required from the successful bidder.
