Description
The California Department of Transportation is soliciting bids for restoration and maintenance services at an 8-acre oak woodland restoration site. The scope includes replacing up to 306 tree shelters, removing and disposing of up to 306 metal tree guards, constructing up to 306 tree markers, mowing the site, and removing target invasive weeds from designated areas. Mowing is estimated at up to 10 occurrences across the agreement term, while target weed removal is estimated at up to 10 treatments covering a total of 5 acres. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, travel, and incidentals. Work includes herbicide or manual weed treatment, plant protection, debris disposal, coordination with the agency's contract manager, and use of a qualified restoration specialist. The prime contractor must hold a current C-27 Landscaping Contractor license, maintain applicable pest-control and industrial-relations registrations, provide specified experience and references, and submit the required bid forms and supporting documentation. State and federal prevailing-wage requirements apply, and the awarded contractor must provide insurance documentation after award.
