The California Department of General Services, Facilities Management Division, is soliciting a contractor to provide preventive maintenance, operational testing, repairs, replacement services, annual drop testing, emergency repairs, and technical support for roll-up doors, gates, motors, and operators at three state buildings in Sacramento. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, and materials; use Cookson-trained and certified service technicians; maintain a service location within 50 miles of 1616 Capitol Avenue, Sacramento; and hold a valid California D-28 Doors, Gates, and Activating Devices license. The anticipated contract term is three years. Services include scheduled preventive maintenance, response to routine repair requests within one business day, emergency response within two hours, replacement parts, written estimates and approved work orders before repairs, and up to 40 hours of telephone technical support per 12-month period. The solicitation is subject to prevailing-wage requirements and requires a minimum 3% Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise participation. Bidders must submit the specified certifications, references, proof of insurance, cost sheet, and other required attachments in a sealed bid package.
