Description
The City of Sacramento Department of Public Works is soliciting a lump-sum construction bid for the Sacramento Last Mile Project Package 3 in the Phoenix Park neighborhood. The work includes furnishing and installing a customer-owned outside-plant GPON communications system, including duct banks and conduits installed by trenching or directional boring, underground handholes and vaults, fiber optic cabling, fiber splicing, fiber terminations, fiber distribution enclosures, and exterior building conduits and network interface device connections. The system must support ANSI/TIA- and ISO/IEC-compliant structured cabling and use dielectric loose-tube single-mode OS2 fiber. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, testing, site restoration, traffic and pedestrian controls, permits, as-built documentation, shop drawings, operation and maintenance documentation, and related appurtenances. The plans identify service to approximately 585 homes, FDH-02 and FDH-03 distribution hubs, numerous handholes, and connections to existing city fiber. The bid requires a Class A license, with Class C7 or C10 licensing as applicable to the contractor or subcontractors. The estimated construction value is $2,300,000, with an 80-working-day completion period, a 10% bid bond, and 100% payment and performance bonds required after award.
