Description
The Sacramento Municipal Utility District is soliciting proposals to establish a non-exclusive alliance agreement for inventory galvanized tubular steel poles used in new infrastructure construction and maintenance. The scope includes supplying direct-embedded and base-plated poles in specified sizes and classes, along with required pole sections, anchor bolt assemblies, davit arms, insulator attachments, climbing brackets, caps, hardware, fasteners, galvanizing, coatings, and related components. The bid schedule includes estimated quantities for multiple pole configurations, but SMUD will issue release orders for actual quantities needed and guarantees only any stated reserve quantities. The supplier must provide engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, delivery, customer support, and technical documentation. Requirements include design calculations and drawings, AutoCAD and PDF submittals where specified, formal QA/QC procedures, material and inspection records, delivery schedules, defect and shortage response, weekly order reporting, Buy America compliance information, environmental sustainability information, and experience and qualification documentation. The agreement is approximately two years with two optional one-year extensions, and SMUD intends to award one or more contracts with an aggregate not-to-exceed amount of $11,000,000.
