Description
Jefferson County is soliciting a requirements contract for welding and metal fabrication services for various county departments. The contractor must provide labor, materials, hardware, and necessary equipment, excluding a crane, for on-site and off-site repairs and fabrication. Required capabilities include MIG, TIG, and arc welding; tube and pipe bending; metal breaking, bending, forming, and sheathing; plate steel rolling and polishing; and custom cutting of dimensional materials. Estimates may be required before repairs begin, and invoices must separately identify services, parts and materials costs, and labor rates. The contract is an indefinite-quantity arrangement with no guaranteed minimum or maximum purchases. Award will be made to one bidder based on the lowest three-year average labor rate and materials markup. The initial term runs from November 1, 2026, through October 31, 2028, with a mutually agreed one-year renewal option. The solicitation requires two paper copies for mailed or in-person submissions and permits electronic submission through the county purchasing webpage. Insurance requirements include workers’ compensation, disability, commercial general liability, motor vehicle liability, and employer’s liability coverage, with specified minimum limits for several coverages.
