Description
The County of Riverside Transportation Department is seeking proposals from qualified engineering professionals to provide comprehensive construction management services for the Airport Boulevard Bridge Replacement Project over the Whitewater River. The project will replace the existing two-lane bridge with an approximately 71-foot-wide cast-in-place/prestressed concrete slab bridge addressing structural and seismic deficiencies. Associated work includes two travel lanes, shoulders, a median, sidewalks, approach roadway reconstruction, intersection and access improvements, and accommodations for future CV Link connectivity and utilities. Construction will occur in two stages to maintain traffic flow on Airport Boulevard. The selected consultant will perform constructability review of bid documents, construction contract administration, progress monitoring, community outreach, materials testing, and environmental monitoring. Proposals will be used to shortlist firms for oral presentations and interviews. A professional civil engineer licensed in California is required. The project duration is listed as typically two to three years, with proposal selection tentatively planned for December 2026.
