Description
The California Department of Social Services is seeking one San Diego, California-based nonprofit grantee to administer the San Diego Newcomers Project. The grantee will provide Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) and Refugee Support Services (RSS) to eligible RCA-type individuals and families who are not potentially eligible for CalWORKs, using culturally and linguistically appropriate services to support resettlement, self-sufficiency, and long-term integration. Approximately $4.5 million is available for RCA and $4.16 million for RSS, subject to federal appropriations and awards. Funding will be provided through monthly reimbursements after submission of complete and accurate invoices. The period of performance is January 1, 2027, through September 30, 2029; one award is expected, and matched funding is not required.
