Description
North County Transit District seeks a qualified contractor to remove and dispose of existing rooftop packaged units, condensing units, fan coils, furnaces, split heat-pump systems, and exhaust fans, then furnish and install replacement HVAC equipment at its East and West BREEZE operations facilities. The work includes electrical, condensate, refrigerant, ductwork, controls, supports, insulation, roof-curb coordination, testing, balancing, commissioning, startup, and disposal activities. Replacement equipment must meet specified California energy-code, efficiency, refrigerant, motor, safety, and performance requirements, with approved equals permitted subject to agency approval. The base scope includes eight exhaust fans at the West Division and eight HVAC units at the East Division. Two optional scopes add twelve exhaust fans at the West Division and nine exhaust fans at the East Division. The contractor must provide required submittals, construction planning and scheduling, daily reports, closeout documentation, operations and maintenance manuals, warranties, and manufacturer-authorized startup services. The project is subject to California and federal prevailing-wage requirements, a California Class B contractor license requirement, federal funding provisions, DBE-related reporting, and required bonding and insurance obligations.
