Description
The County of San Diego is conducting a quarterly prequalification process for firms interested in bidding on County public works projects. Firms found qualified will be placed on the Qualified County Public Works Project Contractor List and may bid on public works projects requiring prequalification for 12 months beginning on the effective date of prequalification. Offerors must submit a complete statement of qualifications addressing the standardized questionnaire and required forms. Eligibility includes current workers’ compensation coverage or legal self-insurance, liability insurance of at least $2,000,000 per occurrence and $4,000,000 aggregate, and satisfactory responses to the construction, licensing, bonding, labor, safety, environmental, and financial-history questions. Pricing is not requested or evaluated during this qualifications-based process; it will be addressed in later project-specific requests for bids.
