Description
Triad Local School District is requesting proposals for installation of five fiber circuits between IT closets and MDFs, totaling approximately 1,580 feet. Each run must use 12-strand, single-mode, armored, tight-buffered, plenum-rated fiber, with connectors and SFPs installed to provide 10 Gbps transmission. The work includes de-terminating and abandoning existing switch cables, reconfiguring or reprogramming switches, labeling fiber ends, supporting cables above ceilings, testing and certifying the cabling, and sleeving, caulking, and sealing firewalls in accordance with applicable requirements. The proposal must include new equipment with a three-year manufacturer warranty including next-day replacement, manufacturer and part/SKU information, unit costs, and the percentage eligible under E-Rate rules. The vendor must provide two relevant client references, general company information, an E-Rate SPIN or proof that one has been requested, proof of authorized reseller status, and the submission coordinator's information. An on-site visit is required before proposal acceptance. Installation must be completed no later than August 15, 2027, or two months after the purchase order, whichever is later, and work is to occur outside school hours unless otherwise arranged.
