Description
The City of Springfield, Ohio, is soliciting electronic bids for complete demolition of the 31,860-square-foot former school building at 827 Dibert Avenue. The work includes removal and lawful disposal of all structures, asbestos-containing materials, foundations, site improvements, vegetation, debris, and the existing lift; utility disconnections; compacted backfill; seeding and mulching; required permits and inspections; and coordination with MAKSolve, LLC, for asbestos oversight, air monitoring, environmental testing, and potential contaminated-soil disposal. The contractor must comply with applicable Ohio and City requirements, including prevailing-wage rules, and must identify the anticipated disposal site and method in its price quotation. Subcontractors may be used with the City's prior written approval. Electronic bids must be submitted through Bid Express by the stated deadline using a required digital ID. The solicitation package includes bid and performance/payment bond forms and prevailing-wage forms; the bond forms and certain prevailing-wage forms are post-award or contract-performance documents rather than proposal-submission items.
