Description
The Air Force Institute of Technology requires 66 customized off-axis parabolic mirrors for its Extreme Light Laboratory and ultra-intense laser research. Each mirror must use a 30 mm fused-silica substrate, have a 45-degree parabolic focus, surface roughness below 1 nm RMS, a 20-10 scratch/dig specification, and a polished backside. The contractor must apply a protected-gold coating with average reflectivity of at least 97 percent at 780 ± 40 nm and a 45-degree angle of incidence. The scope includes manufacturing, quality testing and inspection, test and inspection documentation, packaging, transportation, and delivery within 98 calendar days after receipt of order. The mirrors must be warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for two years after Government receipt. This is a Sources Sought notice for market research, not a solicitation or request for quotation; respondents must submit a capability package describing their ability to meet the requirements and provide company, CAGE Code, UEI, point-of-contact, and business-size information.
