Description
The City of Piqua is soliciting sealed bids to establish a price agreement for the supply and delivery of seven water-treatment chemicals: granular sodium hexametaphosphate, liquid sodium permanganate, liquid ferric sulfate, bulk quicklime, hydrofluosilicic acid, liquid carbon dioxide, and sodium hypochlorite. The bid quantities are approximate and include specified packaging, concentrations, delivery volumes, and applicable AWWA standards. Prices must include delivery and remain firm from January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2027. Bidders must use the enclosed city bid form, submit manufacturer and model information with descriptive literature, and provide current Material Safety Data Sheets. The supplier must maintain liability insurance of at least $2,000,000 per chemical and have an emergency response team capable of responding to the water plant within 90 minutes. The bid package also requires a signed Americans with Disabilities Act Compliance Certification and Drug-Free Workplace Compliance Affidavit.
