Description
Clean Water Services is soliciting bids for bulk sodium bisulfite solution for use at its Durham and Rock Creek Water Resource Recovery Facilities. The estimated requirement is 753,000 dry pounds of active sodium bisulfite during the 12-month contract period. The solution must meet specified concentration, appearance, pH, specific gravity, freezing point, weight-per-gallon, insoluble-material, lead, mercury, and arsenic requirements. The successful supplier must provide deliveries in accordance with facility procedures, including chemical off-loading, delivery documentation, weigh slips, compliance affidavits, quarterly laboratory analyses, safety data sheets, and chemical custody forms. The bid requires a firm unit price per dry pound, with the estimated total based on 753,000 dry pounds; actual quantities may vary. Clean Water Services may award more than one contract and intends to purchase a high percentage of its supply from the lowest responsible bidder.
