Description
Westchester County is soliciting bids to establish a six-month agreement for the supply and delivery of liquid 25% sodium hydroxide (caustic soda), with an option to renew for up to four additional periods of no more than six months each. The estimated requirement is approximately 100,000 gallons annually, with pricing requested for bulk deliveries at multiple volume tiers and for 55-gallon drum deliveries. Deliveries must be made within 48 hours of notification, with freight included and no separate freight charges paid. The material must meet applicable AWWA specifications, and bidders must submit Material Safety Data Sheet literature with the bid and provide the sheets with chemical orders to user locations. The bid requires completion of the county bid form and insurance requirements, including commercial general liability, umbrella/excess, automobile liability, and workers’ compensation or applicable statutory documentation. The county may award by item, group, or lot based on competitive pricing and delivery requirements.
