Description
The USDA Forest Service is soliciting a firm-fixed-price contractor to replace the existing roofs on the historic Fenn Bunkhouse and Cookhouse at Fenn Ranger Station. Work includes selective demolition and off-site disposal, field verification, replacement of damaged subroof sheathing, installation of ice and water shield, Cedar Breather, zinc strips, 16-inch premium red cedar shingles, flashing, ridge caps, roof anchors, and related weatherproofing. The contractor must hand-nail the shingles, protect the historic structures and surrounding grounds, maintain weather protection, and complete cleanup. The base work covers the Fenn Bunkhouse, with Cookhouse roofing and gutters identified as option items. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and incidental work. The quotation must include pricing for all line items, a technical approach, material data sheets and technical documentation, the completed SF 1442, the price schedule, and past-performance information for five relevant contracts completed within the preceding five years. The project magnitude is stated as $100,000 to $250,000, and performance is scheduled from November 13, 2026, through November 15, 2027, with work performed within the specified seasonal and wildlife-protection constraints.
