The Federal Highway Administration’s Western Federal Lands Highway Division is planning a firm-fixed-price sealed-bid construction project at five locations within the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest. The work includes culvert replacement, mechanically stabilized earth wall construction, special rock embankment and slope repairs, roadway excavation and resurfacing, aggregate placement, riprap, erosion and sediment control, temporary stream diversion, and temporary traffic control. The project is approximately 0.2 miles in total length and is estimated at $2,000,000 to $5,000,000. The preliminary documents identify quantities including 24-inch and 72-inch pipe culverts, approximately 4,200 square feet of mechanically stabilized earth walls, roadway aggregates, geotextiles, riprap, traffic-control devices, flaggers, and pilot-car support. The project is offered as a total small-business set-aside, with a tentative completion date in fall 2027; the formal invitation for bids and final completion date will be issued later.
