Description
The State of Rhode Island is soliciting a contractor to demolish the former BHDDH group home at 22 Tartaglia Street in Johnston. The work includes complete demolition of the approximately 3,200-square-foot wood-framed building, basement, foundations, utilities, fencing, concrete patios and walkways, retaining and rock walls, asphalt driveway, and other associated site elements. Demolition waste must be removed and properly disposed of or recycled, and the contractor is responsible for required permitting and utility coordination. Following demolition, the contractor must fill below-grade areas, perform site grading, install erosion and sedimentation controls, protect designated trees and vegetation, and loam and seed the site to establish stabilized ground cover. The contractor must comply with applicable Rhode Island, local, environmental, safety, and building requirements. Construction is to begin immediately upon receipt of the purchase order, with substantial completion within three months and final completion within four months; liquidated damages are $500 per day.
