Description
The City of Providence is rebidding work to dewater and clean approximately 490 feet of a 38-inch former combined sewer overflow/current stormwater pipe at Public Street between Allens Avenue and the Providence River. The work includes plugging the downstream pipe to prevent tidal backflow, vacuuming sediment and debris, operating self-priming trash pumps, providing generators and related equipment, controlling erosion and flow, and coordinating operations around tidal and rainfall conditions. The contractor must jet-clean the pipe, transport and dispose of debris in accordance with applicable requirements, perform compliant permit-required entry if personnel access is needed, and provide CCTV raw footage during the work and after final cleaning. A written closeout report with still photographs documenting pipe conditions, damaged areas, and infiltration is also required. The proposal must include the completed bid and MBE/WBE forms, addenda acknowledgment, project approach and schedule, required permits and approvals, two similar-project references, key personnel qualifications, a lump-sum price, and a line-item budget. The project is expected to be completed within three months after agreement execution.
