Description

The City of Providence is soliciting a contractor for bundled HVAC construction at three schools: replacement of the existing rooftop chiller at Classical High School, replacement of two rooftop units at Leviton Dual Language School, and replacement of one rooftop unit at Reservoir Elementary School. The work includes removal and disposal of existing equipment, installation of new equipment on existing curbs or dunnage, piping, insulation, vibration isolation, controls and building-management-system integration, electrical feeders and disconnects, gas connections where applicable, receptacles, structural supports or curb adapters, and testing, adjusting, and balancing. The specified equipment includes a York YLAA air-cooled scroll chiller, Carrier rooftop units, new controls and BACnet interfaces, MERV-13 filtration, economizers, refrigerant-leak detection, and associated mechanical and electrical work. Bidders must provide a formal proposal with pricing for each school and the combined project, along with the required City bid forms and applicable Minority and Women Business Enterprise documentation. The solicitation states that the work is subject to prevailing-wage requirements and a 20 percent combined MBE/WBE participation goal, with a waiver form available when the goal is not met.
