Description
The State of Rhode Island is establishing a qualified vendor list under a Master Price Agreement for as-needed electric and gas welding services. Work may include welding and repair of iron, steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and plastic; brazing, cutting, grinding, fitting, and finishing; metal fabrication, modification, reinforcement, and repair; and repair or fabrication of vehicles, heavy equipment, machinery, trailers, snowplows, and related components. Specialized techniques may include TIG/Heliarc, MIG, stick/arc, and cast-iron welding. Vendors must provide all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, materials, transportation, and expertise. Services may be performed at the vendor's facility or at State-owned or operated locations throughout Rhode Island, including emergency field repairs. The vendor qualification assessment requires current certifications, a qualifications and project-history resume covering the last five years, at least three relevant client references, a description of available welding services, and confirmation of shop, statewide, and emergency availability. Evaluation is pass/fail, and the State does not guarantee any quantity, frequency, location, or dollar value of work.
