Description
Ivy Tech Community College is soliciting bids for a stipulated-sum construction contract to remove and replace rooftop air-handling unit AHU-19 at the North Meridian Center. The work includes rigging and crane coordination; new ductwork curbs; connections to existing ductwork, chilled-water and heating-water piping; integration of new controls with the existing building automation and fire-alarm systems; duct smoke detectors; testing, adjusting, and balancing; commissioning; minor structural modifications; roofing repairs; and related demolition, protection, and restoration. The contractor must provide the new modular central-station air-handling unit, shop drawings with the bid, required bid supplements, a crane operations plan, financial statement, substance-abuse policy, bid and performance/payment bonds, insurance documentation, and other specified bid materials. The work is scheduled for May 7–20, 2027, with all work complete by May 30, 2027. The pre-bid walkthrough is optional, and the selected contractor will be responsible for coordinating all trades, permits, crane operations, commissioning, owner training, and closeout documentation.
