Description
The Marion County Housing Authority is soliciting sealed bids for electrical service upgrades at housing units. The work includes installing 24-space, 100-amp main-breaker panels; upgrading gang meter bases; routing service and feeder conductors in surface-mounted conduit; and installing HVAC disconnects on rear exterior walls in designated locations. The contractor must comply with the National Electrical Code, Ameren requirements, and requirements of the local authority having jurisdiction. Aluminum conductors are permitted when properly sized and installed with approved connectors and anti-oxidant compound where required. The contractor must coordinate temporary power outages with the Housing Authority and minimize service interruptions. Addendum No. 1 and Addendum No. 2 must be acknowledged on the Bid Form. The project completion deadline has been extended from October 30, 2026, to January 31, 2027. Contractors must not include Ameren service-related fees, allowances, contingencies, or other costs in their bids because the Housing Authority will pay those fees directly.
