Description
The State of California Department of General Services, Procurement Division, is soliciting an all-or-none bid for a mandatory statewide contract supplying dried beans, green split peas, and lentils to state departments and institutions. The contract term is two years with two one-year extension options. Estimated two-year usage totals approximately 3,029,000 pounds across seven line items, with anticipated spend of $2,993,726.74. Deliveries will be made statewide to locations identified on individual purchase orders, including correctional facilities, hospitals, veterans' homes, warehouses, and other state institutions. Products must meet the attached specifications, generally be U.S. Grade No. 2 or better, be packaged in commercially acceptable containers such as 50-pound bags, and comply with food-safety, labeling, packaging, inspection, and delivery requirements. Suppliers must obtain USDA Federal Grain Inspection Service grade and weight certification and provide the resulting Official White Certificate. The bid requires completed pricing and narrative worksheets, an agreement cover letter, applicable declarations and certifications, product literature and nutrition facts, food-safety information, and other documents identified in the bid response list. The State will award to the responsive and responsible bidder offering the lowest evaluated all-or-none cost.
