Description
The Village of Minooka is soliciting sealed bids for the cash rental of four parcels totaling approximately 167 acres of tillable farmland in Grundy County, Illinois. Bidders may bid on individual parcels or any combination of parcels. The land must be operated as a grain farm, and the lease term is one year covering the 2026–2027 farming period. The successful bidder will be responsible for farming inputs and operations, including seed, fertilizers, pesticides, planting, harvesting, soil conservation, and maintaining required soil fertility. Livestock, unauthorized structures, public use, hunting, fishing, and assignment or subletting without written consent are prohibited. Bids must be submitted on the Village's furnished bid form and include a farming-ability resume and at least two farming references. The successful bidder must provide a certificate of insurance naming the Village as an additional insured, with general liability limits of $1,000,000 aggregate and $2,000,000 per occurrence. The award will consider price, reputation and performance capabilities, and stability.
