Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Marketing Service uses this Master Invitation for Bids for future procurements of agricultural commodities and processed USDA Foods for domestic food distribution programs, including school lunch, supplemental food, food distribution on Indian reservations, and emergency food assistance programs. Specific future invitations will identify the commodity, quantities, delivery periods, destinations, closing time, acceptance date, and any additional requirements. Products must generally be grown, processed, and prepared in the United States, with applicable domestic-origin verification and traceability requirements. Contractors may be required to manufacture, package, label, palletize, transport, and deliver food products in accordance with FDA, USDA, food safety, packaging, quality, plant-audit, food-defense, and shipping requirements. Offers, modifications, and withdrawals must be submitted electronically through USDA's Web Based Supply Chain Management system; vendors must complete applicable plant registration, user authorization, pricing, quantity-constraint, and certification steps. This notice is a master solicitation rather than a procurement for a specified commodity, quantity, destination, or award amount.
