Description
The City of North Canton seeks proposals to develop and purchase two city-owned parcels totaling 8.04 acres. The parcels may be sold collectively or individually and are zoned for a range of uses, including multi-unit mixed-use residential, office, retail, and commercial development. The preferred proposal must support commercial, retail, or mixed commercial/residential use and meet the requirements of the City’s $3 million Ohio Department of Natural Resources Abandoned Mine Land Economic Revitalization grant for mine remediation and redevelopment. The selected developer will collaborate with the City on design, environmental, and construction phases, then purchase the properties as-is after grant requirements are fulfilled. Proposals must include a cover letter, development proposal, project timeline, sources and uses of funds, requests of the City, and past projects. The cover letter must summarize the project and provide respondent contact details, estimated project cost, intended use, ability to meet grant requirements, and proposed purchase price. The development proposal must describe the project, partners and relevant experience, redevelopment activities, and anticipated neighborhood and economic benefits. Electronic submissions are preferred as a single PDF named “Stratavon Properties” and the firm’s name. Proposals are due by email on December 18, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. EST.
