Description
The City of Canton is soliciting bids from a nonprofit organization to lease approximately 31.342 acres of city-owned property at 2525 25th Street NE for golf training and programs for area youth. The successful bidder will have exclusive use of the premises for the stated purposes, provide priority access and free or inexpensive instruction and playing privileges for youth—particularly low-income youth—and make the premises available for organized recreational activities. The initial lease term is ten years, from January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2036, with mutually agreed ten-year renewal options. The operator will be responsible for permits, equipment, utilities, cleaning, maintenance, lawn and landscaping care, snow and ice removal, applicable licenses, and any approved alterations or improvements. Bidders must submit annual lease pricing, an audited financial statement, detailed relevant experience and references, financial references, a bid guaranty, and the required proposal forms and certifications. The highest bidder able to meet the stated requirements and desired outcomes will be considered, although the City may evaluate additional factors including financial ability, prior performance, and maintenance capability.
