Description
The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Office of Abandoned Mine Lands and Reclamation, is soliciting bids for reclamation of the Brushy Meadow Creek Highwall B site. The work includes mobilization, construction layout and surveying, quality control, site preparation, excavation and grading of the highwall, disposal or incorporation of unsuitable materials, and revegetation of approximately 51 acres. The contractor must install and maintain erosion and sediment controls, including approximately 8,723 linear feet of super silt fence, a stabilized construction entrance, and 42 rock check dams. The project also includes approximately 7,679 linear feet of fabric-form channel, 303 linear feet of vegetated channel, 586 linear feet of underdrain, 537 linear feet of 12-inch PVC conveyance pipe, and 50 linear feet of level spreader, along with required testing, permits, environmental compliance, professional surveying, as-built plans, NPDES co-applicant responsibilities, a project sign, and related construction support. A 5% bid bond is required with the bid; performance and labor/material payment bonds, insurance, contractor licensing, and other specified documentation are required before award or during performance as applicable.
