The Central West Virginia Airport Authority is announcing an upcoming construction contract for Terminal Enabling Improvements at West Virginia International Yeager Airport. The phased project will prepare the existing terminal, concourses, and airfield for future modernization while maintaining airport and airline operations. The scope includes Concourse A improvements and airline relocations; passenger boarding bridge removal and relocation; Concourse C demolition; structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, fire alarm, and telecommunications modifications; site utilities and electrical ductbank work; pavement demolition and reconstruction; Taxiway B relocation and extensions; grading, drainage, stormwater detention, and erosion control; taxiway lighting and signage; airfield pavement markings; fencing; temporary construction barriers; and passenger wayfinding. Anticipated trades include general building construction, demolition, civil/sitework, paving, utilities, airfield electrical, HVAC, plumbing, structural work, passenger boarding bridges, telecommunications, fencing, and erosion and sediment control. The anticipated construction duration is 300 consecutive calendar days.
