Description
Fayette County Schools is seeking a provider to furnish two qualified, in-person sign language interpreters for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Services will be performed during the regular school day and for classroom instruction, school meetings, assemblies, field trips, extracurricular activities, and other school-related events at school facilities and other locations designated by the school system. Proposed interpreters must have appropriate credentials or certifications required by West Virginia regulations, demonstrate proficiency in American Sign Language and English, and have experience in K–12 educational settings. The provider must supply substitute interpreters when needed, maintain service documentation, comply with applicable laws and school policies, and describe its supervision, professional development, and quality-assurance procedures. Proposals must include provider and interpreter qualifications, availability and anticipated schedule, rates and additional fees, and references from educational organizations or comparable clients.
