Description
The Camarillo Sanitary District seeks a contractor to provide year-round hauling, transportation, processing, composting, beneficial reuse, and lawful disposal of approximately 900 wet tons of Class B biosolids annually. Services include providing hauling vehicles, transporting biosolids from the District's wastewater treatment plant at 150 Howard Road to a permitted receiving facility, maintaining required records and regulatory reports, and providing accident and emergency spill-response procedures. The receiving facility must be permitted for biosolids composting and beneficial reuse under applicable California requirements. The bidder must demonstrate at least 10 years of comparable biosolids or sludge hauling and disposal experience, provide three recent municipal or comparable wastewater-facility references, identify key personnel and proposed subcontractors, and submit primary and backup receiving-facility information with current permits or approvals. The contract is for a 36-month term beginning January 1, 2027, with up to two additional one-year extensions by mutual agreement. Pricing is based on a unit price per wet ton, with an estimated quantity of 900 wet tons annually and no guaranteed minimum or maximum quantity.
