Description
Cornell University is soliciting sealed bids from one general contractor to replace roofs at Martha Van Rensselaer Hall West, the Human Ecology Building, and Ives Hall. The work includes associated HVAC, electrical, plumbing, masonry, structural, asbestos-abatement, finish, labor, services, materials, and supplies. Bidders must price required alternate proposals and unit prices, provide a partial schedule of values, identify proposed subcontractors and suppliers, and complete a milestone schedule. A 10% bid security is required in the form of a bid bond or certified check. The successful bidder must furnish performance and labor-and-material payment bonds, each for 100% of the contract price. Work must begin upon the Owner's written authorization to proceed and be completed within 670 calendar days from the contract approval date stated in that authorization. Required bid-time submissions include the Bid Form materials, addenda acknowledgment, corporate bidder certificate, proposed subcontractor list, schedule of values, alternate proposals and unit prices, milestone schedule, and bid security.
