Description
This Sources Sought notice requests capability information from vendors able to provide customer-owned laundry and linen services for VA Northern California health care facilities. The anticipated service includes furnishing labor, equipment, supervision, management, supplies, transportation, vehicles, and an appropriately equipped laundry facility to collect, process, sanitize, finish, package, and return contaminated linens, uniforms, patient clothing, surgical textiles, mops, and related items. The sample Performance Work Statement describes pickup and delivery at multiple Northern California medical centers and outpatient clinics, with service required seven days per week, 365 days per year, at frequencies ranging from daily to weekly. Requirements include segregated clean and soiled-linen processing, infection-control procedures, hospital laundry experience, quality-control and contingency plans, washroom testing, reporting, asset tracking, emergency response, and compliance with applicable healthcare, OSHA, environmental, and industry standards. This notice is for market research and is not an official request for quotes; respondents must provide the five capability items identified in the RFI, including company information, business size and socioeconomic status, UEI, applicable contract vehicles, and a capabilities statement.
