Description
The Defense Health Agency is soliciting laundry-linen services for the 436th Medical Group at Dover Air Force Base. The contractor must furnish labor, equipment, supervision, supplies, transportation, containers, and an operating laundry facility to pick up soiled and contaminated textiles, launder or dry-clean them, package them, and deliver clean items. The workload includes linens, blankets, pillowcases, towels, sheets, scrubs, curtains, patient gowns, and lab coats, with specified quantities and care instructions. Pickup and delivery are required Monday through Friday, generally between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., with a 48-hour turnaround requirement. The contractor must maintain sanitary and infection-control practices, separate clean and soiled materials during handling and transport, provide inventory receipts, perform repairs and stain treatment when required, and meet quality and delivery thresholds. The Government will inspect the contractor's laundry facility before award and may conduct additional inspections during performance. Quotes require a technical approach narrative of no more than three pages, two to three references for similar services completed within the past three years using the attached Past Performance Questionnaire, and completed pricing for all contract line items using the attached SF 1449 and Total Laundry-Linen Yearly Charge spreadsheet. The contract includes one base year and four option years, with firm-fixed monthly pricing.
