Description
The Sacramento Area Sewer District is seeking one or more consultants to provide on-call archaeological and cultural resource services for capital projects and utility operations. Services include technical support related to CEQA, NEPA, and the National Historic Preservation Act; resource assessments and significance determinations; permit and design support; regulatory and tribal liaison services; archaeological and architectural surveys; training and monitoring plan development; and review of studies and scopes of work. Construction support may include contractor training, archaeological resource analysis, liaison services concerning inadvertent discoveries of human remains, tribal monitoring, on-site monitoring and screening during land disturbance, resource documentation and reporting, and remediation or repatriation support. Consultants must meet the Secretary of the Interior's Professional Qualification Standards for Archaeology, provide bilingual services, have at least one Principal Investigator or Senior Archaeologist registered with the Register of Professional Archaeologists, and demonstrate at least three relevant project examples. The contract is anticipated to have an initial five-year term, with potential extension, and compensation will be on a time-and-expenses basis subject to a not-to-exceed amount established through negotiation.
