Description
The City of Miramar is soliciting bids to furnish and install three digital marquee monument signs, one life-size interactive letter sign, and one auxiliary tenant sign. The work includes demolition, site and civil work, concrete foundations and walls, engineered steel framing, decorative cladding, metal letters and city logos, lighting, electrical systems, digital marquee display screens, landscaping and irrigation, paving, and related construction requirements at multiple locations identified in the drawings. Bidders must be the prime contractor and hold a current Florida General Contractor License with at least five consecutive years of experience. The bid must include three comparable projects completed within the last five years, with completed reference questionnaires returned by the references. A bid security equal to 5% of the total bid price is required; certified or cashier's checks must be delivered to the City Clerk, while bid bonds may be submitted electronically. Performance and payment bonds, each equal to 100% of the contract price, and specified insurance coverage are required after award. The work must begin within 10 days after the Notice to Proceed, reach substantial completion within 150 calendar days, and reach final completion within 180 calendar days.
