Description
The Washington State Department of Commerce, through its Office of Homeless Youth, is seeking applications for Youth Lead Project grants funded by the federal Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program and additional state funds. The projects will provide outreach and/or case management services to eligible youth and young adults ages 12–24 experiencing homelessness in one or more of Washington’s 34 Balance of State Continuum of Care counties, while also supporting youth leadership and system-improvement activities led by individuals with lived experience of homelessness. Approximately $645,000 is available in total, with applications capped at $110,000 each. Commerce expects to award 6–8 contracts. Applicants must be eligible nonprofit, tribal, governmental, public housing, or similar organizations able to provide the specified services. Applications must be submitted through Smartsheet forms and include certifications and assurances, applicant information and narrative responses, a budget proposal, a diverse business inclusion plan, and a workers’ rights certification. The anticipated performance period is January 1 through October 31, 2027, with two possible one-year extensions.
