Description
The Washington State Department of Natural Resources is soliciting bids for precommercial thinning on 300 acres of state-managed forestland in its Southeast Region. The work covers four treatment units and requires the contractor to provide labor, supervision, equipment, safety equipment, and mechanical-treatment supplies. The contractor must supply at least four workers each business day, maintain crews of five to fourteen workers unless otherwise approved, and provide qualified English-speaking forepersons with precommercial-thinning experience. Bidders must submit the required certification, specification, and cost forms, along with copies of current Washington State and United States Department of Labor Farm Labor Contractors licenses or qualifying renewal documentation. The contract term is October 29, 2026, through June 30, 2027, with no extension. The bid price may not exceed $150 per acre, and the solicitation requires a performance security equal to 10 percent of the awarded contract price after award.
