Yakima School District and Garco Construction, Inc., the general contractor/construction manager, are conducting a pre-bid determination of subcontractor eligibility for the Hoover and Garfield Elementary School Projects. The bid-package scopes under consideration are Plumbing & Piping, HVAC, and Electrical & Low Voltage. A public hearing will explain the criteria used in the pre-bid qualification process. The determination is based on the labor capacity required to construct two elementary school projects simultaneously, the specialized nature of K-12 construction, and the experience needed to work in and around an operating K-12 campus. Interested parties may request the qualification information from Garco.
