BOARD OF YAKIMA COUNTY COMMISSIONERS NOTICE TO PROPOSERS IFB YC26001 Yakima County is soliciting bids for the following project: Transportation, Processing and Recycling/Disposal of Used Motor Oil, Spent Antifreeze & Filters Yakima County Public Services, Solid Waste NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the undersigned that electronic sealed Bids will be accepted via PublicPurchase.com until the hour of 11:00:00 AM on October 30, 2026. IFB submittals will be electronically opened shortly after 11:00:00 AM in Room 231, at the Yakima County Courthouse, 128 N. 2nd Street, Yakima WA 98901 for preliminary review. Description
Yakima County Public Services, Solid Waste Division, seeks a contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and transportation for the collection, transportation, processing, recycling, and disposal of used motor oil, spent antifreeze, and crushed and uncrushed oil filters from 11 County and municipal collection locations. The scope includes weekly monitoring and pumping of bulk used motor oil; pickup of drummed spent antifreeze and oil filters within five business days of County notification; solvent testing before pumping; site maintenance; and provision of replacement UN-approved 1A2 drums. The contractor must provide weekly bills of lading, final certificates of recycling, disposal, or destruction within 90 days of pickup, and volume data for annual Ecology and EPA reporting. Pricing includes a proposed percentage of the EIA WTI Cushing Spot Price paid to the County for used motor oil, plus unit prices for spent antifreeze and oil filters. The contract term is one year, with an option to extend for one additional year. Required bid materials include the County's bid forms, non-collusion affidavit, price form, and performance bond.
