Description
The City of Phoenix is soliciting a contractor for design-bid-build construction of a redundant force main serving Lift Station 47. The project includes approximately 9,463 linear feet of new 12-inch PE4710 high-density polyethylene force main, generally following the existing alignment from the lift station near North 113th Drive and Indian School Road east to 99th Avenue, plus minor lift station discharge-piping reconfiguration. Work includes open-cut pipeline installation, trenching and backfill, trenchless crossings with steel casing, pipe and fitting installation, air-release valves, connections to existing facilities, testing, surveying, as-built preparation, traffic control, pavement and concrete restoration, stormwater pollution prevention, and utility locating. The bid requires a 5% Small Business Enterprise participation goal, a bid guarantee of at least 10% of the total bid, and performance and labor-and-material bonds each equal to the full contract amount before contract execution. The successful contractor must complete the work within 365 calendar days beginning the day after the Notice to Proceed date. The solicitation includes detailed bid, SBE, subcontractor, supplier, and responsibility forms; the three lowest bidders have additional post-bid submissions due three business days after bid opening.
